We were commissioned by the Iowa Events Center/Wells Fargo Arena to make this piece for them to give to Eric Church (a country music artist) before his concert there this week.
They had the initial concept, and furnished a pic of the arena. I drew the arena from their pic. I used copper patinas and dyes from Steel-FX for the background plate, and used a polished steel finish on the front piece. Clear powdercoat over all of it. This is 24" diameter.
Cut on a Torchmate 3, 5' x 10' table with Hypertherm 1250.

"Free From Form" is about breaking free from conformity. Its about the multi layered selves that can be pealed back like onion skin continually revealing the under and inner that waits patiently.
We love this tree! We cut this for a ccustomer as a wedding gift, with our Powermax85 and a set of fine cut consumables. Then gave it an aged copper patina.
Butterfly bench that I, Stephanie, fabricated from 1/4" thick aluminum sheet. All 4 components were cut using my Hypertherm Powermax 30 then TIG welded together.
