• South Branch Arroyo Conejo (SBAC) Floodplain Improvements Study

  • The City of Thousand Oaks is conducting a study of the South Branch Arroyo Conejo (SBAC) storm drain channel in Newbury Park. If you received a postcard, your property falls within the identified outreach radius. We value your perspective and want to ensure residents can share additional feedback before the study concludes.

A comprehensive study—reviewed by both the primary consultant and an independent peer reviewer—has examined flooding conditions, possible solutions, and the expected benefits of various changes. Feedback from the community may prompt the City to conduct additional hydrology analyses, evaluate alternative mitigation projects, and or develop other recommendations/findings for consideration. Therefore, the community's participation and input on the project and watershed, including receipt of concerns or areas of requested focus, are critical to the project's map revision goal.

The City has been coordinating with the Ventura County Watershed Protection District on this effort for residents and businesses in both the City and the County.

We invite you to leave feedback, including relevant images, below. Providing your contact information is optional, but doing so will allow staff to follow up directly if you have questions.
