LakeExpo Christmas Lights Contest Rules

Welcome to the LakeExpo Christmas Lights Contest, brought to you by Nauticus Media, Inc. ("LakeExpo"). By participating in this contest, you agree to abide by the following rules and terms:

Eligibility

1. The contest is open to individuals who are legal residents in their respective jurisdictions and have reached the age of majority.
2. Only homes and businesses located in the Missouri counties of Camden, Miller, or Morgan are eligible to win. Entries from outside these counties will not be considered.
3. If it is later discovered that a winning entry is not located within these counties, any prize may be revoked and awarded to another qualified winner.

Submission Guidelines

1. Participants may submit their entries through the designated online form on WooBox.
2. Submissions must include a photo or video showcasing Christmas lights.
3. Each participant can submit only one entry per category.
4. Entries must be submitted by the deadline specified on the contest page.

Judging and Awards

1. A panel of judges selected by LakeExpo will review all entries and determine a winner and an honorable mention in each category.
2. There will also be a People's Choice award determined by public votes on the entry page.
3. There are no implied guarantees regarding the awarding of prizes or any other contest outcomes.
4. An entry may only win in a single category. If an entry is the winner in multiple categories, LakeExpo will determine which category the entry will be the winner in, and then will assign the next-highest-ranked entry in the other category/categories that are not already winners in another category.

Voting

1. Voting for the People's Choice award will be open to the public.
2. Each person is allowed one vote per entry.
3. Voters may need to register or log in to cast their votes.

Privacy and Correspondence

1. By submitting an entry or voting, participants agree to receive correspondence from LakeExpo.
2. LakeExpo does not guarantee privacy of submissions or voter identities.

Location Sharing and Legal Considerations

1. Entrants are not required to provide the location of their light displays, but they may be asked if they wish to do so voluntarily.
2. If an entrant provides their location, LakeExpo may share this information through any medium deemed appropriate.
3. LakeExpo may encourage the public to view the light displays; however, this does not suggest or condone trespassing or breaking any laws.

Liability

1. LakeExpo is not liable for any claims, including but not limited to, libel or slander, made by participants regarding their submissions.
2. Participants and voters agree to hold LakeExpo harmless from any claims arising from their participation in the contest.

General Conditions

1. LakeExpo reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with the rules.
2. LakeExpo may modify, suspend, or terminate the contest at any time without notice.

Intellectual Property

1. By submitting an entry, participants grant LakeExpo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, publish, and display their submission in connection with the contest and any promotional purposes.

Disqualification

1. LakeExpo reserves the right to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process or violates these rules. Automated entries are prohibited and will result in disqualification.

Technical Issues

1. LakeExpo is not responsible for any technical malfunctions, network issues, or other problems that may affect the entry or voting process.

Dispute Resolution

1. Any disputes arising out of or connected to this contest will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Lake Ozark, Missouri (Miller County).

Governing Law

1. The contest and its rules are governed by the laws of Lake Ozark, Missouri (Miller County), without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Amendments

1. LakeExpo reserves the right to amend these rules at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on the contest page.
