Terms and Conditions

The Healthy Paws Foundation will make a $5 donation for each entry (limit one per email address) into the Steps for Strays event, up to a total of $30,000. There is no purchase necessary to enter. The total donation will be made after the conclusion of the event (August 23, 2020) to Northwest Animal Shelter.

How to enter: Entries are open to people residing in the United States and can be completed on the Steps for Strays registration page by completing the short form with your email address, first and last name. Limit one entry per person. Entries will be accepted August 7 12:01am until 11:59pm Pacific Time on August 23, 2020.

By checking the box for "I agree to the terms & conditions" and by sharing a photo with the hashtag #StepsforStrays to a public social media account, you accept and agree to the following Terms and Conditions for User-Generated Content.

Use of Your Photo: By sharing a photo of you and your pet(s) (“Submission”) to social media using #StepsforStrays, you are authorizing Healthy Paws Pet Insurance to use, publish, and otherwise reproduce, modify and distribute your Submission with or without the name of your pet in perpetuity, worldwide for non-marketing purposes on Healthy Paws' social media channels and other mediums, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and the Healthy Paws Blog. All participants hereby grant Healthy Paws a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right and license to use all materials submitted in connection with the Campaign, including but not limited to their posted comments, for any purpose, including commercial purposes, that sponsor may deem beneficial.

By making a Submission, you agree to the following:

• that you are 18 years or older;
• that if children are depicted in the Submission, you are the parent/guardian with legal responsibility of any minors depicted in the Submission;
• If using Facebook, comply with Facebook’s terms of services located at: https://www.facebook.com/terms;
• If using Twitter, comply with Twitter’s terms of services located at: https://www.twitter.com/en/tos;
• If using Instagram, comply with Instagram’s terms of services located at: https://www.Instagram.com
• not disparage any other person, entity or brand;
• not contain profanity, or any other lewd, scandalous, immoral, distasteful, or undesirable matter, as determined in the sole discretion of Healthy Paws;
• not contain any language or material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred, or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity;
• not contain any reference to illegal or illicit themes;
• that you own or otherwise control the rights to your Submission and any and all elements thereof and have the legal right and capacity to enter into and agree to these Terms and Conditions;
• that you have the rights from any and all third parties appearing in such Submission to use their names, images or likenesses and any other third party-owned elements as necessary in and as part of your Submission; and
• that your Submission does not infringe or violate the rights of any third parties, including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights, copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity/privacy, patent, trade secret or confidentiality obligations.
   

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE:

BY PARTICIPATING IN THE SUBMISSION  YOU AGREE THAT HEALTHY PAWS PET INSURANCE LLC, AND ITS AFFILIATES AND EACH OF THEIR PARENT COMPANIES, RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATED ENTITIES, MEMBERS, SHAREHOLDERS, DIVISIONS, PREDECESSORS, SUCCESSORS, REPRESENTATIVES, ASSIGNS AND ATTORNEYS, (COLLECTIVELY, THE “RELEASED PARTIES”) HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND YOU SHALL HOLD THE RELEASED PARTIES HARMLESS AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, CLAIMS, LOSSES, DAMAGES, COSTS OR EXPENSES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ATTORNEY’S FEES AND COSTS) TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY RESULTING FROM (A) SUBMISSION OF A PHOTO TO THIS CAMPAIGN, AND (B) ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PERSONALITY OR PRIVACY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, RIGHTS OF PUBLICITY OR COPYRIGHT.

Privacy. Any information collected from this campaign shall be used only in a manner consistent with these Terms and Conditions and with the Healthy Paw’s Online Privacy Policy. By participating in the Campaign, you consent to allow Healthy Paws permission to use this content in marketing/promotional materials, as well as opt in to receive future communications from Healthy Paws.

Facebook Release and Disclaimer. Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that this Submission is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. By entering the Submission each entrant hereby releases and agrees to hold harmless Facebook completely from any liability in respect of the Sweepstakes. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Submission will be directed to Sponsor and not Facebook.

Instagram Release and Disclaimer. Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that this Submission is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. By entering the Submission each entrant hereby releases and agrees to hold harmless Instagram completely from any liability in respect of the Sweepstakes. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Submission will be directed to Sponsor and not Instagram.

Twitter Release and Disclaimer. Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that this Submission is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter. By entering the Submission each entrant hereby releases and agrees to hold harmless Twitter completely from any liability in respect of the Sweepstakes. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Submission will be directed to Sponsor and not Twitter.

All material submitted becomes the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Healthy Paws reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to edit any Submission and to choose to include, not include or remove such Submission from its blog, social media channels, or in any other materials where the Submission may appear without prior notice to the entrant.
