  • NOUVELLE VAGUE, directed by Richard Linklater, is a black-and-white, French-language love letter to the birth of the French New Wave. It reimagines the chaotic 1959 shoot of Breathless with youth, spontaneity, and rebellion.


    The booklet is a 52-page A5 collectors' piece for all the Jean-Luc Goddard and Linklater fans out there. The booklet features beautiful photos and art from the film, along with quotes from cast and crew, Jean-Luc Godard, and passages from Richard Linklater about the making of the film, and the inspiration he drew from BREATHLESS.

    The Promoter is Dendy Cinemas Australia. Entry is open to Australian residents only. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and the agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. The competition opens for tickets purchased from 9:00am AEST Monday, January 5 2026 and closes 11:59pm AEST Saturday, January 29 2026. Entrants are limited to one entry per person per ticket purchased. To enter the Promotion, eligible persons must, within the Promotional Period, purchase a ticket to see Nouvelle Vague at Dendy Cinemas, and then enter their full name, address, booking number, and provide a 25 words or less answer to the question on the competitions entry page. The prize winners will be notified via the email address or phone number provided upon entry. Additional information may be required in order to facilitate prize fulfilment. Ticket booking/receipt numbers will be verified and any invalid entries will be nullified. Each entry will be individually judged based on originality, literary and creative merits. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
