2022 Youth Week Photo Exhibition T&C’s
- The Youth Week Photo Exhibition is open to young people (aged 12-24 years old at the time of the exhibition) who reside in the MidCoast Council Local Government Area.
- There is a maximum of 4 entries per entrant allowed.
- Images need to be:
- In jpeg format
- A maximum of 1920 pixels wide and 1200 pixels high when viewed in the correct orientation
- A maximum of 2 megabytes in size
- WITHOUT boarders (no surrounding black or white)
- Taken by a device which captures an image
- An image title and short 100 word explanation of the image must be included during the submission process. All titles and text should be exactly as you want them to appear in the catalogue and image titles must not include words such as “untitled” or “no title” nor capture filenames or titles consisting of only numbers.
- Entries can be submitted online via our submission platform (https://woobox.com/bkrt7s) or via email.
- To complete an online entry you must complete each field in the online form
- For email entries, submissions must be sent to russell.ingram@midcoast.nsw.gov.au and must include the following:
- Email Subject Line: ‘Youth Week Photography Exhibition – <Entrant’s name>’
- Image Naming Protocol: Each image must be titled in the following manner: ‘entrant surname_image title’
- Image Descriptions: To be attached as a PDF or Word document and must include the image title before the image description. If submitting multiple images the descriptions can be combined in to the one document.
- Email Content: Entrants must include in the email text their First Name and Surname, Date of Birth, Address, Phone number and an acknowledgement that the exhibition Terms & Conditions have been read and agreed to.
- Deadline for Exhibition submissions is 11PM (AEDT), Sunday 27 March 2022.
- The entrant consents to MidCoast Council reproducing the entrants’ image(s) at no charge in all publicity and promotion of the exhibition and Youth Week activities, events and acquittals, inclusive of all electronic, social and print media at the discretion of the organiser(s), to be included in the exhibition catalogue(s) and to be posted on the MidCoast Council website and the MidCoast Youth and Manning Regional Gallery Facebook and Instagram accounts. The organisers will use its best endeavour to maintain the integrity of the work and credit the photographer whenever their work is used.
- Personal information collected in the process of submission will be used by MidCoast Council for the purpose of contacting the applicants and will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act.
- Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that as part of the application process, he or she will provide personal information (such as names, address, telephone numbers and email addresses).
- By entering the exhibition you confirm that you are the creator and owner of the work, that you have the permission of the subject or where appropriate the subject’s parent or guardian, that the work does not infringe copyright, the image was not taken in circumstances of trespass or invading anyone’s legal right of privacy, breach of industrial law or applicable industrial code and does not to the best of your knowledge defame anyone nor was your conduct in taking the image likely to be misleading or deceptive and that you agree to the above Terms and Conditions.
- The Entrant agrees to indemnify MidCoast Council for any expenses, costs, loss or damages suffered by MidCoast Council in case the Entrant breaches the above clause
- An entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organisation or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to the exhibition rules and conditions.
- MidCoast Council reserve the right to not display an image that could be viewed as offensive by the public.
- MidCoast Council shall be entitled to exclude from the exhibition any entrant who has submitted false information or does not comply with these terms and conditions.
