Photo Contest Rules and Guidelines
1. Eligibility
- The contest is open to students currently enrolled at any middle school or high school in the US. It is not limited to Legacy Studios schools.
- Employees or immediate family members of Nationwide Studios are not eligible to participate.
2. Submission Guidelines
- Each participant may submit a maximum of 5 entries per category.
- All photographs must be original work created by the participant
- Photographs must be submitted in jpeg, png, jpg, tiff, psd, tif. 50 mb is maximum file size
- The photos must be uploaded to woobox by 4/4/25 at 11:59 PM CT.
3. Categories
- The available categories are Sports, Student Life, and POV (Point of View)
- All entries must adhere to the theme and reflect the spirit of the contest.
4. Image Restrictions
- Submitted photographs must not contain offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content, including but not limited to: nudity, violence, hate speech, or illegal activity.
- Photographs that infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, or other rights of any third party will be disqualified.
- Manipulation or alteration of photographs (e.g., digital editing) is allowed.
5. Copyright and Ownership
- By submitting an entry, participants affirm that they are the sole authors of the photograph and hold the rights to the image and have obtained appropriate student media subject releases.
- Participants grant Nationwide Studios a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and publish the submitted photographs for promotional and marketing purposes related to the contest (e.g., on social media, websites, or in printed materials).
6. Judging Criteria
- Submissions will be judged based on creativity, originality, composition, and technical skill.
- Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
7. Prizes
- The prizes for the contest are as follows: (1) Best Overall Photo will receive a $500 B&H Photo gift card and (3) Best in Category: $100 B&H Photo gift cards.
- Winners will be notified via e-mail entered upon submission.
- If the prize is not claimed within 90 days of notification, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
8. Disqualification
- Entries that do not comply with these rules may be disqualified at the discretion of the contest organizers.
- Fraudulent or dishonest behavior (e.g., plagiarism, cheating, fake entries) will lead to immediate disqualification.
9. General Terms
- By entering the contest, participants agree to abide by these rules and regulations.
- Nationwide Studios reserves the right to amend or change the rules of the contest at any time.
- Nationwide Studios is not responsible for lost, late, or incomplete entries.
- The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
10. Privacy and Data Use
- The personal information provided by participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the contest and awarding prizes. It will not be shared with third parties without the participant's consent, except as required by law.
11. Limitation of Liability
- Nationwide Studios and its affiliates are not responsible for any damages, injuries, or losses that may occur in connection with the contest or the prize. The participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the contest host and its affiliates.
12. Acceptance of Rules
- By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the official rules and guidelines of the contest.
