1. All entries must be digitally submitted.
  2. Each entry must fall into ONE of the following categories and must be related to the contest theme.
    • Illustration/Animation
    • 3D Model
    • Photography/Video
  3. No copyrighted materials (music, images, etc.) may be used for this contest unless you own the copyright or have a license to use the material for this contest. Written permission must be obtained and provided upon request for all copyrighted materials.
  4. All portions of the online entry form must be completed when you upload your image for it to be eligible.
  5. Content must comply with all local and national laws of the country of origin and the United States. Content must not 1) promote illegal behavior; 2) support racial, religious, sexual or other invidious prejudice; 3) advocate sexual or violent exploitation; 4) violate rights established by law or agreement; 5) invade the privacy of any person; or 6) be otherwise inappropriate as determined by the Terasaki Institute in its sole and conclusive determination.
  6. The judges’ decision is final. Entries will be judged by a rubric, with winners in each category.
  7. TIBI Employees (Internal submissions) will not be considered and will be removed.

1. Top-voted  submissions of each category will be considered by the Judges 

2. Scientific relevance to the theme, photographic quality, originality, creativity, and aesthetic will be considered

  1. The only compensation for submitting a photograph is the opportunity to be awarded a prize if the entry wins. The Terasaki Institute will not pay participants any additional compensation nor be liable to the participant under any circumstances.
  2. Participants may enter one submission per category
  3. All entries must be submitted in English, if entries are not in English they must include English subtitles.
  4. Awards will be presented as follows:

Challenge (Theme): “Pursuing Precision Medicine through Innovation”

  1. Entrants should keep at least one copy of their Entry. The Terasaki Institute is not responsible for any images that are lost, damaged, or that do not upload properly.
  2. Ownership of the underlying intellectual property of the project remains with the entrant, with the following exceptions.
  3. Entrants grant the Terasaki Institute the right to use their names, photographs, statements, quotes, testimonials, and video submissions for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes without notification or further compensation.
  4. Entrants also grant the Terasaki Institute the right to use, reproduce, reprint, distribute, perform, and/or display the entrant’s submission without further compensation or notification to the entrant.
  5. The Terasaki Institute maintains the right to reproduce, reprint, distribute, perform, display, or exhibit the project for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes on their website, at conferences, or at any other venues.
  6. Entrants agree to be bound by the official contest rules and decisions of the judges.
