• National Water Week 2024 Competition

  • The 2024 National Water Week theme is Accelerating Action. It serves as a powerful rally cry for our community to address water's vital role in the current climate crisis. Together, we will spark a collective movement towards a sustainable water future, taking concrete steps to bring about enduring change.

To celebrate National Water Week, Townsville City Council is hosting a water-themed competition and Townsville students are invited to submit their entry to win a prize:

    • Primary School (Prep to Grade 6): Design a poster on why water is important and what actions we can take to save water. Download the poster template and submit your entry through the form.
    • High School (Grades 7 to 12): Make a TikTok or socials reel showcasing how you're driving sustainable water action. Tag Townsville City Council on our socials in your video or submit your video with this form. You can use #AcceleratingAction #NationalWaterWeek hashtags optionally as well.

Creatives can be submitted individually, or as a class or school.
