OFFICIAL RULES FOR “NEW HAMPSHIRE LOTTERY PRESENTS SANTA PAWS” FACEBOOK CONTEST

ENTRY RULES:

Any player who submits a photo of their pet during the promotional period will be entered into the contest for a chance to have their pet featured on a 2019 New Hampshire Lottery Santa Paws Holiday scratch ticket game.  To enter, participants must have a New Hampshire mailing address, register for and submit their image through the NH Lottery Facebook App.  A valid e-mail address and current contact information, including phone number is required.  All images must be the entrant’s pet. By entering, the player agrees, if selected, that the New Hampshire Lottery may use their submitted pet imagery on a 2019 Holiday themed scratch ticket, as well as in advertising and/or promotional materials.  The player further agrees to allow the New Hampshire Lottery to professionally photograph and record images of the pet for the same uses.

A player may submit different pet photos with each entry being submitted separately. However, one photo of each different pet may be submitted as part of this contest.  As an example, you may submit one photo of your frisky feline and not multiple photos for multiple entries of that same frisky feline.

ENTRY DEADLINES AND CONTEST DATES:

All entries must be submitted between 12:01 AM ET on May 1, 2019 and 11:59 PM ET on May 15, 2019.  Photos submitted after the entry deadline and non-pet photos will not be eligible for the contest.

Online voting by the public will occur beginning at 6:00 AM ET on May 16, 2019 through May 30, 2019, 11:59 PM ET.  Individuals may vote for one pet, once per day during the duration of the voting process.

The deadline and contest winner announcement date are subject to change at the sole discretion of the New Hampshire Lottery.

PRIZES:

Up to 10 winners will have their pet featured on the Santa Paws holiday scratch ticket, plus receive three books of $1 tickets.

No cash option is available for the scratch ticket award.  New Hampshire Lottery may award up to ten (10) prizes.  The New Hampshire Lottery also reserves the right to not award any prize or to offer a substitute of equivalent value.

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:

Winners will be selected through the online public voting system created by the New Hampshire Lottery whereas voters have the right to vote one time per day for one submitted photo with the ability to vote for different photos during the voting period if they so choose.

The New Hampshire Lottery will notify the winners by phone by 4:00 PM on May 31, 2019. using the information provided by the player.  The winners will be mailed a Prize Claim Form for immediate completion and return.  Winners will be announced publicly on June 6, 2019. Due to the timeliness of the contest, the New Hampshire Lottery will select a mid-state studio location where all photos of the winners’ pets will be professionally photographed.  Photo session will take place no later than June 12, 2019.  Details for the photography session will be discussed with the winners.

Prize claims shall be in accordance with Chapter Sw 600 (Rules for Prize Claims” and other applicable rules.

To claim their prize, a winner will provide their complete contact information to New Hampshire Lottery via email or USPS, or in person with their full name, address and telephone number.  All requested information and required documentation must be received by the New Hampshire Lottery by Monday, May 13, 2019.  Failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of prize.  Each winner will receive their three books of tickets featuring their pet along with other selected pet photos during the 2019 holiday season.  If there is more than one pet featured, all pets will be in the same book pf scratch tickets with rotating scenes.

The New Hampshire Lottery shall not be responsible for any prizes lost, damaged or stolen during shipment, pick-up or use.

The name of the winner and city/town they reside in, and prize won as well as photo and pet name will be posted on the NH Lottery website, social media and newsletter.  If space allows, the name of the pet along with owner name, city/town will be noted on the front or back of each scratch ticket that the pet is featured on.

GENERAL:

This contest is open to those with a New Hampshire mailing address only, age 18 and over who are eligible to claim prizes under the laws, rules, and policies of the New Hampshire Lottery.

Contest entrants must own the pet they submit for contest consideration or have express written authorization to submit photos of the pet by the owner.  Proof of ownership or authorization by the owner upon prize claim may be required to claim any prize associated with this contest. 

New Hampshire Lottery shall not be responsible for data entry errors by entrants.

New Hampshire Lottery, at its sole discretion, may disqualify an entry, winner, or designee from participating in any aspect of the contest if they deem or suspect that such person has engaged in or has attempted to engage in any of the following:

New Hampshire Lottery reserves the right to amend the contest rules as necessary without prior notice.

Participants release and hold harmless NH Lottery and its agents and employees from any liability arising out of participation in the contest.  New Hampshire Lottery is not responsible for any negligence of any person, or any claim, liability, injury, property loss, or other loss to participants or their companions arising from or in connection with any event or occurrence related to the contest.

Employees of the NHLC and their immediate family members, and employees and the immediate family members of the ad agency of record as well as NH Lottery Retailers, are not eligible to enter to win.

CHILD SUPPORT INTERCEPT – Pursuant to RSA 284-21-v, the New Hampshire Lottery is required to review all lottery prize claims subject to federal tax reporting with a child support database provided by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).  In the event that a winner of any prize package described above owes child support, the winner shall have up to 21 days from the draw date to settle the total arrearage due as determined by DHHS to the DHHS, after which settlement the winner will be awarded the prize.  Failure to settle any arrearage shall result in that winner’s prize package being forfeit and the package will be issued to the first available alternate winner.  The original winner(s) owing Child Support shall receive no other prize or compensation from the New Hampshire Lottery relating to this game.
