Term:

Penn Cinema's Imaginary Friend Contest begins April 15, 2024, and ends Thursday, May 23, at 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time. By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest.

Who may enter:

The contest is open to any individuals. Individuals affiliated with Penn Cinema, including employees and their immediate families (children, parents, siblings and spouses) and others living in their households are not eligible for any prize. Penn Cinema will determine winners’ eligibility in its sole discretion.

What to enter:

The following four age categories are available for this contest:

1. Ages 8 and under

2. Ages 9-13

3. Ages 14-17

4. Ages 18+

Submission are categorized based on the age of the artist on the date of the submission. The contestant certifies that he/she is the sole creator.

Submissions must be hand drawn. No computer generated submissions will be accepted. 

Drawings that violate or infringe upon another person's rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible.

Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by Penn Cinema in its sole discretion, are ineligible.

How to Enter:

Please submit drawings and requested information online through our website at bit.ly/ShareYourIF. You may submit one (1) drawing per person. Photos must be submitted in .jpeg, .jpg, .png, or .pdf format at least 1,000 pixels wide and no larger than 10 MB. Please submit at the highest resolution possible. Drawings will not be accepted through the mail, email, or in-person.

You retain your rights to your drawing; however, by entering the contest, you grant Penn Cinema (and those authorized by Penn Cinema) a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any purpose, including, but not limited to, advertising and promotion of the company and contest, and its website, social media platforms, and commercial products (this includes any sales of products utilizing the drawing). Any drawing reproduced will include a credit as feasible. Penn Cinema will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.

Use of your personal data:

Participation in the contest requires the collection of your name and email address. By entering this contest, you are consenting to the use of your name and email address for further communications regarding this contest. To access our privacy statement, click here.

Entry deadline:

The contest begins on April 15, 2024. All entries must be received the contest landing page by by 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on May 12, 2024.

Voting

Entries will be voted on by the public. Voting opens on May 16, 2024 and closes at 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on May 23, 2024.

Prizes will be awarded to the three (3) submissions with the most votes in each of the four age categories. Each winner will be notified of their status. Winners will be revealed online in June 2024. These dates may be subject to change.

Penn Cinema will notify winners via the contact information provided at the time of entry; Penn Cinema may disqualify anyone who fails to respond to the notification within five business days.

Prizes:

Three prizes will be awarded in each age category, as follows:

Grand Prize: Your imaginary friend will be turned into a stuffed animal + IF Prize Pack including $100 Penn Cinema Gift Card

Second Place: IF Prize Pack including $100 Penn Cinema Gift Card

Third Place: IF Prize Pack including $50 Penn Cinema Gift Card

All winners will be required to pick-up their prize and participate in a press photo. 

All prizes are awarded “as is” and non-transferable.  In case applicable law prohibits Penn Cinema from awarding a prize and/or any non-cash prize, Penn Cinema may award the prize in name only. 

Feature:

Penn Cinema will feature all contest submissions on-screen prior to all showings of IF starting May 16, 2024. Select drawings may be highlighted on its website or social media channels. Such selections will be made in Penn Cinema's sole discretion.

Conditions of Entry:

All entrants hold the Sponsors and their respective regents, directors, officers, employees, and volunteers (the “Indemnified Parties”) harmless from and against all claims of any nature arising in connection with entrant’s participation in the contest and acceptance or use of a prize. The Indemnified Parties are not liable for any costs, damages, injuries, or other claims incurred because of entrants’ participation in the contest or winner’s acceptance and usage of a prize. The Indemnified Parties are not responsible for incomplete or misdirected entries, technical or network malfunctions or failures, or causes beyond their control. Entrants are solely responsible for their entries. Entrants may not submit materials that introduce any software viruses, worms or other programs designed to damage software, hardware or telecommunications equipment or are off-topic, partisan-political, contain advertising, nudity, personal attacks or expletives, or is otherwise abusive, threatening, unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, libelous, obscene, false, sexually explicit, or that infringes on the rights of any third party.

The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Penn Cinema reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. In the event of a dispute regarding the winners, Penn Cinema reserves the right to award or not award the prizes in its sole discretion. Penn Cinema reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose entry or conduct appears in any way to: inhibit the enjoyment of others; tamper with the competition; violate these rules or other applicable law or regulation; infringe on the rights of third parties; or act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Decisions of Penn Cinema are final and binding.
