Nominations are open for the WIC Defying Gravity Award 2023

 The WIC Defying Gravity Award seeks to recognise an inspiring early-mid career woman who is breaking through and making change towards gender equity in the Information Communication and Technology industry.

Recognising the contribution of emerging female leaders promotes gender equity in an industry that continues to have a significant under-representation of women. It raises the profile of incredible future leaders and provides role models for women at all stages of their career in the industry.

This award is open to outstanding women in the ACT region working in the ICT industry.

Nominations close on 20 October 2023.

The WIC Defying Gravity Award promotes women's achievements at the early-mid stage of their career and recognises their role as future leaders for the ongoing advancement of gender equity in ICT.

The Defying Gravity Award is granted to a future leader in the digital community who demonstrated the broad spectrum of experience and skill that women are bringing in support of an inclusive digital and technology field.

Defying Gravity nominees are women who are emerging leaders in the ICT industry, who are role models to other women in the industry. The winner of this award is granted an honorary position on the WIC Committee.

The Defying Gravity 2023 shortlist and award winner will be selected by WIC committee members.

The award will be presented at the WIC Dinner Debate on 17 November 2023
