NIVEA Sun Island Holiday Competition
Terms and Conditions

 

1. By entering the "NIVEA Sun Island Holiday" competition, all participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. In order to be eligible to enter the competition, a participant:
   2.1 must be at least 18 years old and residing in the Republic of South Africa; and
   2.2 a member of the Clicks Customer Loyalty Programme ("Clicks ClubCard Programme").
   2.3 Must have purchased a NIVEA Sun product at a Clicks store in the Republic of South Africa and swiped his/her Clicks ClubCard during the purchase.
3. All participants who meet the eligibility requirements set out above will be automatically entered into the competition.
4. The following persons and entities are not eligible to participate in the competition:
   4.1 directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants to Clicks Retailers (Pty) Ltd, its subsidiaries, divisions and/or associated companies ("Clicks") or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Clicks, and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners;
   4.2 directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants to the advertising and promotion agencies of Clicks and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners; and
   4.3 directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants to Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners.
5. The competition commences on 01 October 2016 and closes on 31 December 2016.
6. One winner will be drawn by random selection from all eligible entries by 31 January 2017. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence in this regard will be entered into.
7. The prizes for the competition are as follows:
   7.1 An Island Holiday to the value of R75 000,
   7.2 The winner will be put in contact with the travel agency selected by Beiersdorf Consumer Products
   7.3 Where local or overseas travel is involved with any prize:
   Return Flights from Johannesburg to the destination for the winner and chosen partner (if and where applicable). The flights will be economy class tickets and will include the base fare and approximate taxes. Approximate taxes include the following: airline/airport taxes, fuel surcharge, ACSA regulatory charges.
   Should the winner and partner reside in Johannesburg, they will be responsible for own transport costs to and from OR Tambo International Airport.
   7.4 Domestic flights from the nearest airport in a South African location to Johannesburg where the winner, and partner (if and where applicable), do not reside in Johannesburg will be provided. The flights will be economy class tickets and will include the base fare and approximate taxes. Approximate taxes include the following: airline/airport taxes, fuel surcharge, ACSA regulatory charges.
   7.5 The outward bound international flight departs from Johannesburg and the return flight from the destination only and the winner and partner will be responsible for their own transport costs to and from the specified airports. Domestic flights are not transferable for cash should they not be required.
   7.6 The number of nights' accommodation in a hotel selected and paid for by Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd at the destination, will be indicated.
   7.7 Transfers to and from the destination, as well as to and from the destination event. All other transportation and any other costs in and around the destination will be for the winner's account
   7.8 Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd will specify at the time the amount of spending money allocated will be provided in the form of electronic transfer into the winner's R.S.A bank account.
   7.9 Any costs or expenses which the winner may incur other than those items specifically included in the prize are for the winner's own account. Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd will not be responsible for any costs or expenses which you, or your partner (if and where applicable) incur flowing from your entry into the competition and acceptance or use/enjoyment of the prize.
   7.10 The winner, and partner (if and where applicable), will be responsible for their own travel insurance arrangements (e.g. loss of baggage/valuables and personal accident).
   7.11 The prize is only valid for the date specified in the particular competition. The destination event tickets/reservation/s and Meet and Greet opportunity have been secured for a particular date only and no change may be made to the date specified.
   7.12 We do not make any representations and give no warranty that –
   7.12.1 Your entry or participation in the competition will necessarily result in you winning the prize;
   7.12.2 The prize, or any aspect thereof, will meet your, or your partner's (if applicable), requirements, preferences, or expectations
   7.12.3 You, and your partner (if applicable where travel is involved), are required to possess valid passports, with the required minimum validity for international travel to the destination country for the date/s concerned, in order to accept and/use the prize. Should the winner, and partner (if and where applicable), require travel visas for entry into the destination country the cost thereof will be covered by Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd and arranged by the winner, and partner, in consultation with a third party travel agency appointed by Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd.
8. The prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or for any other item. If, for any reason, Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd cannot provide any of the prizes, Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd will award an alternative prize of a similar value.
9. The winner will be required to provide Clicks and/or Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd with proof of identification in the form of a copy of his/her identity document, passport or South African driver's licence.
10. Notification and delivery of prizes:
    10.1 Each of the winner's contact details will be obtained from the Clicks ClubCard Programme database. Each winner will be informed telephonically and/or by e-mail within 5 working days after his/her name has been drawn, that he/she has won the prize.
    10.2 Clicks reserves the right to disqualify a winner if he/she does not respond to the telephone call and/or e-mail within 3 working days of being contacted or the notification being despatched, indicating that he/she accepts the prize. In such event, Clicks will be entitled to select another winner within 1 working day thereafter.
    10.3 If a winner cannot accept a prize for any reason, that winner will forfeit his/her prize and another winner will be selected. In order to claim his/her prize, a winner may contact the Clicks Call Centre on 0860 254 257 or e-mail Clubcardcompetitions@clicksgroup.co.za.
    10.4 The winner will be contacted by Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd within 15 working days of being notified.
11. The winners' names will be published on the official Clicks' website (www.clicks.co.za).
12. Unless the winner specifically states otherwise, each winner agrees to participate in all promotional activity and hereby consents to Clicks and Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd using his/her name, images and/or voice in any promotional material for the purpose of promoting the competition. No compensation will be payable for such use. The winner will have the right to withdraw his/her consent for the use of his/her name, images and/or voice prior to the use thereof by Clicks and/ orl, Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd in any promotional activity.
13. A copy of these terms and conditions will be available on the official Clicks' website (www.clicks.co.za) from 01 October 2016 until 31 December 2016.
14. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE COMPETITION, YOU AGREE, SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW, THAT NEITHER CLICKS NOR BEIERSDORF CONSUMER PRODUCTS (PTY) LTD NOR ANY OF THEIR RESPECTIVE ADVERTISING AGENCIES WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSSES, DAMAGES, COSTS OR CLAIMS IN CONNECTION WITH THE COMPETITION OR RESULTING FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, OR USE OF ANY PRIZE.
15. CLICKS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE, SUSPEND OR AMEND THE COMPETITION FOR REASONS BEYOND ITS CONTROL. CLICKS AND ITS SERVICES PROVIDERS, INCLUDING ANY TELEPHONE NETWORK PROVIDERS, ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCORRECT OR INACCURATE TRANSCRIPTION OF ENTRY INFORMATION, TECHNICAL MALFUNCTION, LOST OR DELAYED DATA TRANSMISSION, OMISSION, INTERRUPTION, DELETION, LINE FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION OF ANY TELEPHONE NETWORK, COMPUTER EQUIPMENT OR SOFTWARE, THE INABILITY TO ACCESS ANY WEBSITE OR ONLINE SERVICES OR FOR ANY OTHER REASON BEYOND ITS CONTROL.
