Rare Yooperlite Zen Stones under milky way, southern tip of Beaver Island. Stones illuminated during exposure with ultraviolet light. Yooperlites are found only in and around Michigan's Keweenaw Penninsula. I carried the stones to the island.

After shooting film for a year I just got my first digital camera, excited to break it in I went with my friend to Ann Arbor at night and tried to find some interesting subjects, the second time we walked past the state theater this fire truck pulled up and stopped at the perfect spot, I quickly composed this photo and captured a very unique moment
