Eligibility to enter / opening and closing dates

1. This promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and Republic of Ireland only. Employees of The Promoter, their families, agencies, or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter.

2. Entrants must be aged 18 or over and have access to the internet and an active regularly monitored email account. The Confirmed Winners’ Travel Companion must be aged 18 or over.

3. The Confirmed Winners’ Travel Companion must be aged 18 or over.

4. Promotion opens on 07th September at 09:00 and runs until 23:00 on 19/10/2018 Any entry received after the closing date will not be valid.

5. A maximum of 1 entry is permitted per person across the entire promotional period.  Additional entries can be earned by sharing the competition via Facebook, Twitter or Email i.e. if one of your friends enters the competition as a result of clicking on a link that you have shared then you will earn an extra entry into the prize draw.

6. No purchase is necessary to enter this promotion.

7. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if it is determined that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize.

9. By entering this promotion, entrants will be deemed to have accepted, and will be bound by, these terms and conditions.

Selecting the Winner(s)

10.  The competition is hosted on South African Tourism official website www.southafrica.net. All competition entries are collected using the Woobox App.

11. One Potential Winner will be selected by a random independent draw on 29th October 2018 at from all valid entries received in accordance with these terms and conditions.

The Prize

12. The prize is a seven-night holiday for two people to South Africa including: 

- 1 pair of return flights from London to Johannesburg with Virgin Atlantic
- 7 night accommodation in South Africa (aligned with the itinerary profile)
- Car hire for the entire trip

13. Tickets will be issued in the Confirmed Winner’s name and their nominated travel partners only.

14. The Prize/Tickets are for the Economy cabin only.

15. The Prize is strictly subject to availability in G Class and fare rules will apply

16. Return flights: Please note that dates and / or destinations may be subject to embargoes at Virgin Atlantic’s discretion. Once you have selected your preferred travel dates, please contact our sales support team at sales.support@fly.virgin.com attaching a copy of your Prize Winner Letter advising your preferred dates of travel and the full passport names and dates of birth of passenger/s. Once your tickets have been issued by the sales support team, you will be required to enter advance passenger information for your booking via ‘Manage my Booking’ via www.virginatlantic.com

16.1 Please be advised that Virgin Atlantic Airways are covering all applicable taxes, fees, charges and carrier imposed surcharges.

16.2 Prize winner seats are subject to availability and capacity control at the time of booking. Availability for use of Prize Tickets is limited for each flight and Virgin Atlantic cannot guarantee availability.

16.3 Tickets must be used by yourself and a companion travelling together in both directions.

16.4 Tickets are non-refundable, and cannot be bartered, sold or substituted. No cash alternative is available.

16.5 You must redeem your tickets and travel before the voucher expiry date set out below. If the tickets are not redeemed, no alternative tickets will be issued and no compensation provided. You may not amend these dates.

16.6  The Prize Winner and their companion will abide by and be subject to Virgin Atlantic’s Terms and Conditions of Carriage, which can be found here https://www.virginatlantic.com/gb/en/helpcentre/conditions-of-carriage.html. 6.  The Prize Winner and their companion will be entirely responsible for arranging and paying for their own transport to and from the departure and arrival airports and also between airports (if applicable) and any additional charges (including without limitation) the cost of hotels, meals, drinks, excess baggage, car parking charges, excursions and attractions

16.7  New bookings only and subject to client quoting code SA50.

16.8  Must include ex-UK flights for all clients. Discount only applies to those who have a seat on the plane (i.e. infants do not qualify unless they have their own seat)

16.9 Minimum 7 nights’ accommodation or any type of tour of minimum 7 nights in South Africa 

16.10  Car hire alone does not qualify – must book 7 nights accommodation in South Africa with car

16.11 The prize is not combinable with any other offers

17. The Winner and their travel companions are responsible for ensuring that, prior to travel, they hold adequate travel insurance and all other necessary documentation for travel (e.g. visas).

 

General

18. The Confirmed Winner and their travel companion are responsible for all expenses not expressly stated in these terms and conditions as being included as part of the Prize.

19. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no liability for any damage, loss or injury suffered due to entering this promotion or taking up a Prize.

20. Incomplete, illegible, corrupted entries, or those which are otherwise not in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be valid. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for failure to receive an entry where such failure is due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s control.

21. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and winners and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this promotions entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means.

22. Potential winners are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Terms and Conditions and could still post qualification be disqualified as the Promoter reserves the right to verify all Potential Winners and Travel Companions they will meet necessary standards and not cause the brand embarrassment by the individual or their Travel Companion. Part of this process may include questions during the claim process and a review of personal information sourced from data available in the public domain.

23. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion or the awarding of prizes, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.

24. The Promoter and it's agents takes data protection seriously. By entering this promotion you confirm that you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Where we collect your personal data (for example, your name, address, or email address) it may be used in accordance with the Privacy Policy to:

 25 The Promoter will send ALL participants a 'thank you ' email immediately after your entry is received.  This is a one-off email and you will not receive any more emails from the Promoter unless you have given consent via the entry form.

 26. The Promoter and its agents will only use personal information supplied by entrants to this promotion for the purposes of administering this promotion, unless consent is received to use such information for any other purpose.

27. Entrants will retain ownership of any content, submissions and other material they submit as part of this Promotion. However, entrants grant the promoter (and its agents and affiliates) a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual license to use any such content, submissions and other material for the purposes of this promotion.
