From October 20th - October 31st, vote for one of the nonprofit organizations below, one vote per email address. The winner will be awarded $10,000!
Name and email must be entered below to lock in your vote! Scroll down to the end of the page, enter your name and email and to read more about each nonprofit organization, and how they help our community.
Any irregular or fraudulent votes, including but not limited to multiple votes from the same user, or those generated by robotic, programmed, scripted, macro, or other automated methods, will be disqualified. Organizations may not incentivize or "buy" votes by offering compensation, prizes, or through the use of paid social posts to encourage voting.

Second Chance Canine - Mission centers on improving mental health for veteran facing PTSD and TBI, providing direct psychiatric support through specially trained service dogs. These dogs interrupt panic attacks, ground individuals during flashbacks, and offer deep pressure therapy to easy anxiety, empowering veterans to regain daily functionality.

River Clean-Up - Mobilizes hundreds of local volunteers, businesses, and government partners each spring to collect, dispense, and recycle trash from hundreds of miles of waterways across the Driftless Area, including the Mississippi River and its tributaries.

Nurture House Group - Advances literacy and educational opportunities for children by creating safe, engaging spaces for reading and learning. Through hands-on literacy activities, book access, and enrichment programs, including reading sessions, field trips, and creative experiences, the organization addresses barriers to education faced by many local children who lack access to books and academic support outside of school.

Nerds on a Mission - A community-based youth robotics program serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade, regardless of school affiliation. The program equips participants with 21st-century skills—such as project management, leadership, communication, teamwork, and technical expertise in programming and robotics.

Manna Café Ministries - Addresses economic insecurity by distributing 2.5 million pounds of food annually making it the region’s largest food rescue agency. Operating from Manna Village in an underserved Montgomery County neighborhood, it offers hot meals, groceries, groceries, mobile pantries, health clinics, hygiene items, clothing, and household essentials.

La Crescent Hokah PTO - Dedicated to making school a supportive and enriching environment for students and teachers. We strive to ensure kids are excited about school and teachers feel appreciated, recognizing that educators often use their own resources and some families face extra costs for activities. By filling gaps left by the school budget, we make sure no child misses out and every student can learn, grow, and succeed.

Working with local partners, the program rehabilitates homes and landscapes using eco-friendly practices, such as creating community orchards, food forests, and native plant gardens to boost biodiversity, manage stormwater, and provide fresh food.
