Clicks Mom of the Year Competition
Terms and Conditions

  1. By entering the Clicks Mom of the Year competition, all participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook ("FB"). Any correspondence regarding this competition must be directed to Clicks and not to FB.
  3. All information collected pursuant to the competition is collected by Clicks and not by FB. Each participant participating in the competition by submitting their information to Clicks, consents to Clicks using the information provided in connection with the competition.
  4. In order to be eligible to nominate a "mom of the year" as a participant in the competition, you as the nominator:
    4.1.must be at least 18 years old and residing in the Republic of South Africa;
    4.2.Must be a member of the Clicks Customer Loyalty Programme ("Clicks ClubCard Programme");
    4.3. must have a valid e-mail account; and
    4.4. must complete all required fields on the entry form.
    4.5. must nominate a mom or mom like figure (this can be a friend, colleague, community member, etc) that they feel is worthy of the title "Clicks Mom of the Year".
    4.6. must write a (100 word) motivation as to why their nominee deserves to be "Clicks Mom of the Year".

  5. In order for a participant to be eligible for nomination and to be considered for the "Mom of the year" the participant:
    5.1.Must be a mother or mom like figure
    5.2.Must be at least 18 years old and residing in the Republic of South Africa;
    5.3.Must have a valid driver's licence or be legally competent to cede the vehicle prize to a person of their choice who possesses a valid South African driver's licence.
    5.4.Must accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions upon accepting their nomination.
  6. Only participants who are nominated by eligible nominators as per clause 4, and who meet the eligibility requirements set out in clause 5 will be automatically entered into the competition.
  7. Multiple entries are not permitted.
  8. The following persons and entities are not eligible to participate or nominate a participant in the competition:
    8.1.directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants to Clicks Retailers (Pty) Ltd, its subsidiaries, divisions and/or associated companies ("Clicks") or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Clicks, and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners;
    8.2.directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants to the advertising and promotion agencies of Clicks and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners; and
    8.3.directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants to [General Motors, City Lodge Hotel Group , Netflorist or Sorbet Group] or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by [General Motors, City Lodge Hotel Group, Netflorist or Sorbet Group] and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners.
  9. The competition commences at noon on 25 January 2016 and nominations close at midnight on 20 March 2016.
  10. 10 finalists will be selected from all eligible entries by the judges based on the individuality of the motivation submitted as per clause 4 and their names announced on 11 April 2016. Each of the 10 finalists will be entered into the second phase of the competition which will comprise a Social Media Campaign. Each of the 10 finalists will be posted on FB where FB fans can vote for their favourite finalist from 11 April 2016 until 4 May 2016 and predict the winner. The winner will be selected from the 10 finalists according the individuality of the motivation submitted as per clause 4 above, indicating how the nominated mother has gone above the call of duty for either her children or that of that of the community. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence in this regard will be entered into.
    The winner will be announced on 5 May 2016. The winner will be invited to attend a brunch in Cape Town where the grand prize will be handed to the winner. The invite will include flights to and from Cape Town but will not include transport costs to and from the airport.
  11. The competition prizes are as follows:
    11.1.1 Sorbet massage voucher worth R240 each, and a R1000 Clicks Gift Card sent to each of the top 10 mom finalists.
    11.2.The 10 nominee finalists will also be entered into the second phase of the Clicks Mom of the Year competition where 1 of the 10 finalists will stand the chance to win the Grand Prize consisting of the following:
    1.1 Chevrolet Spark 1.2 LS worth R145 000;
    2.Accommodation for a family of four (two adults and two children or four adults) for a weekend (2 nights) away from City Lodge valued at R4000;
    3.NetFlorist year supply of flowers limited to R6000;
    4.GNC Total Lean hampers Value R500.
  12. Fans who have voted for their favourite mom will be placed in a draw and stand to win a R1000 gift card if they voted for the winning mom.
  13. The prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or for any other item. If, for any reason, Clicks, General Motors, City Lodge Hotel Group, NetFlorist or Sorbet Group cannot provide any of the prizes, Clicks, General Motors, City Lodge Hotel Group, NetFlorist or Sorbet Group will award an alternative prize of a similar value.
  14. Each of the winners will be required to provide Clicks and/or General Motors, City Lodge Hotel Group, NetFlorist or Sorbet Group with proof of identification in the form of a copy of his/her identity document, passport or South African driver's licence.
  15. Notification and delivery of prizes:
    15.1.Each winner's contact details will be obtained from the Facebook online entry form and/or from the Clicks ClubCard Programme database. Each finalist will be informed telephonically and/or by e-mail within 10 working days after they have been selected.
    15.2.Clicks reserves the right to disqualify a winner if he/she does not respond to the telephone call and/or e-mail within 3 working days of being contacted indicating that he/she accepts the prize. In such event, Clicks will be entitled to select another winner within 3 working days thereafter.
    15.3.If a winner cannot accept a prize for any reason, that winner will forfeit his/her prize and another winner will be selected. In order to claim his/her prize, a winner may contact the Clicks Customer Call Centre on 0860 254 257 or via e-mail: Clubcardcompetitions@clicksgroup.co.za.
    15.4.Prizes will be couriered to finalists within 30 working days of notification.
    15.5.Grand prize redemption is dependent on area winner resides and will be discussed with winner directly.
  16. The winners' names will be published on Clicks' official FB page and the Clicks website www.clicks.co.za
  17. Unless the winner specifically states otherwise, each winner agrees to participate in all promotional activity and hereby consents to Clicks and General Motors, City Lodge Hotel Group, NetFlorist or Sorbet Group using his/her name, images and/or voice in any promotional material for the purpose of promoting the competition. No compensation will be payable for such use. The winner will have the right to withdraw his/her consent for the use of his/her name, images and/or voice prior to the use thereof by Clicks and/ or General Motors, City Lodge Hotel Group, NetFlorist or Sorbet Group in any promotional activity.
  18. A copy of these terms and conditions will be available on the official Clicks FB page and the Clicks website www.clicks.co.za from noon on 25 January 2016 until midnight on 31 May 2016.
  19. By participating in the Competition, YOU agree, SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW, THAT NEITHER CLICKS, FB, the SUPPLIER/Sponsor NOR any OF THEIR RESPECTIVE advertising agencies WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY losses, damages, COSTS OR claims in connection with the Competition or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.
  20. CLICKS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE, SUSPEND OR AMEND THE COMPETITION FOR REASONS BEYOND ITS CONTROL. CLICKS AND ITS SERVICES PROVIDERS, INCLUDING ANY TELEPHONE NETWORK PROVIDERS, ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCORRECT OR INACCURATE TRANSCRIPTION OF ENTRY INFORMATION, TECHNICAL MALFUNCTION, LOST OR DELAYED DATA TRANSMISSION, OMISSION, INTERRUPTION, DELETION, LINE FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION OF ANY TELEPHONE NETWORK, COMPUTER EQUIPMENT OR SOFTWARE, THE INABILITY TO ACCESS ANY WEBSITE OR ONLINE SERVICES OR FOR ANY OTHER ERROR.
