Official Scholarship Entry Rules for “The Neil Peart Spirit of Drumming Scholarship”
Eligibility and Parental Consent
a. Age Requirements: The scholarship entry is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia. Qualified entrants must be between the ages of 14 and 21 years. Entrants under the age of 18 must have valid written consent from a parent or legal guardian prior to entering.
b. Consent for Entrants Under 14: If an entrant is under 14, a parent or legal guardian must email ricardor@moderndrummer.com expressly authorizing the collection and use of the minor’s personal information for this scholarship entry. Parents or guardians may review, modify, or withdraw consent by contacting the same email address. In the event an entrant under 14 wins, the prize will be awarded solely to that entrant’s parent or legal guardian.
Entry Requirements
a. To enter, complete all required fields on the official entry form, including full name, address, city, state, zip code, daytime phone number, and email address.
b. Only one entry per email address is allowed. Multiple entries will result in disqualification.
c. Personal information provided will be used solely for administering the scholarship entry and awarding the prize and will not be shared with third parties, except as necessary to fulfill the scholarship entry.
Scholarship Entry Period
Judging and Winner Selection
a. A panel of five judges, appointed by Modern Drummer Publications, Inc., will review all eligible entries. All judging decisions are final and binding.
b. The winner will be announced via Modern Drummer’s social media channels. If Modern Drummer is unable to contact the winner by email or phone, or if the winner does not respond within one (1) day, the right to the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected.
c. The winner must sign an affidavit of eligibility, a general release of liability, and a consent form permitting the use of their name, photograph, and video likeness for promotional purposes, without additional compensation (except where prohibited by law).
Prize
Technical Issues and Disqualification
a. Modern Drummer Publications, Inc. is not responsible for any technical failures, human errors, or any issues related to the submission, transmission, or receipt of entries.
b. In the event of suspected tampering, fraud, or any irregularity in the entry process, Modern Drummer Publications, Inc. reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the scholarship entry and disqualify any affected entries.
Release of Liability and Indemnification
General Provisions
a. No purchase is necessary to enter the scholarship entry.
b. The scholarship entry is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and applicable state laws and is void where prohibited by law.
c. By entering, contestants agree to abide by these Official Scholarship Entry Rules. If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Consent to Use of Information
These Official Scholarship Entry Rules are subject to change at the discretion of Modern Drummer Publications, Inc. All participants are encouraged to review these rules periodically for any updates or modifications.
