  • Terms and Conditions for Gilbert’s Fine Food- ICING ON THE CAKE Challenge:


    • You must register before Friday 25th October 12:30pm and be under the age of 14 yrs.
    • There are two age categories (Ages 5-9 and 10-14).
    • You must decorate a 20cm round sponge cake.
    • The theme is ‘Iconic South’.
    • You will be Judged on your decorating skill/creativity not tasting. Your cakes will be judged by Alison Lambert and Kevin Gilbert from Gilbert’s Fine Food.
    • In registering you have the option to supply a description of your plans for the challenge. Including the name you would give your creation, colours and elements you would include. (You can change your ideas before you decorate your cake)
    • Submitted descriptions, pictures taken of cakes at the event and any other details may be used for marketing purposes by the Home & Living Show, Gilbert Fine Foods, Dunedin Venues and the Allied Press.
    • You will receive an email by Monday October 28th letting you know if you have been selected to bring your cake to the Home & Living Show
    • The email will contain other relevant information about the competition about where your cake is to be dropped and where it will be displayed.
    • You will be required to bring your decorated cake to the Home and Living Show on Sunday 3rd November before 11am.
    • Winners will be announced on the competition stage at 3.45pm.
    • All selected entries will receive 2 free tickets to the Home & Living Show for Sunday 3rd November.
