Sedalia Spooktacular Showdown

Unleash your Halloween spirit! Enter your home or yard in Sedalia’s Spooktacular Showdown Decorating Contest now through October 24 for a chance to win prizes and citywide bragging rights. All entries will be shared online for community voting October 25–30, with winners announced October 31. Prizes will be presented during the City’s Halloween at the Hall event from 3–5 p.m. that same evening.

I agree to the Official Rules & Disclaimers. The Sedalia Spooktacular Showdown Decorating Contest is open to all residents within the Sedalia city limits. Participants must be 18 years of age or older, or have a parent or guardian submit on their behalf. All decorations must be visible from the street or sidewalk (backyard displays are not eligible) and must remain family-friendly with no obscene, violent, or inappropriate content. Entries must feature decorations located at the address provided, and by submitting a photo, participants grant permission for the City of Sedalia to share their image on the City’s website and social media pages. Decorations must not obstruct sidewalks or streets. Each household may submit only one entry and one photo. Entries must be received by Friday, October 24, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., and late submissions will not be accepted. Community voting will be open from October 25–30, 2025. The submission with the most votes wins! The City reserves the right to remove fraudulent votes, as well as disqualify any entries that do not comply with these rules. Winners will be announced on October 31, 2025, on the City of Sedalia’s Facebook page, will be notified by phone and email, and will receive recognition and prizes. By participating, entrants agree to hold harmless the City of Sedalia, its employees, and affiliates from any claims or damages that may arise from participation in this contest.
