All photographs must be taken at the Toronto Zoo between January 1, 2020 – September 6, 2020. All submission(s) must be received before 11:59pm, Monday, October 12 , 2020. Submission(s) can be entered online, dropped off to the Toronto Zoo’s Membership Office or mailed to the Toronto Zoo Membership Office, Photo Contest, 361A Old Finch Ave., Toronto, Ontario M1B 5K7. All submissions MUST be 4” x 6” size (no slides). Submissions must include: Name, Age, Membership ID#, Telephone number, area in the Toronto Zoo the photo was taken, the approximate date the photo was taken and the category the photo is to be entered. Submitted photos with incomplete information and/or submission in any format other than specified above will nullify submission entry.
The Toronto Zoo will select the winners no later than Friday, October 30, 2020. The Toronto Zoo will notify all winners by phone, and/or email. Two prizes will be awarded per category. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash. Winners must show proof of active membership to claim their prize. The odds of winning depend upon the number of entrants to the contest. Photos will be judged by select Zoo staff members on the following criteria: content, composition, focus and general impression. Contestants must own all rights to the photographs submitted and agree that all submissions become the property of the Toronto Zoo. Sorry, all submitted pictures will not be returned to entrants. The Zoo assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete submissions.
By entering this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules. Entrants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Entrants also agree that by submitting a photo, the Toronto Zoo has the right to use the photo for promotional materials or to share on social media with or without credit at the discretion of the Toronto Zoo.
