ELIGIBILITY AND HOW TO ENTER
To enter the giveaway, you must be an employee a vehicle dealer with a a current subscription agreement for the CARFAX Advantage Dealer Program, be a member of NIADA, be at least 18 years old, and a legal resident of the United States. Employees and contractors of CARFAX, and their immediate family and household members, aren’t eligible to enter.
To enter on behalf of the vehicle dealer where you work, complete and submit the online entry form. Each entry is submitted on behalf of the dealer named in the entry, and the prize will be awarded to the winning dealer, rather than to the individual employee or contractor who submitted the winning entry. A dealer is eligible to win a prize from CARFAX only once per year, so if a dealer has already won a prize in the last 365 days, that dealer isn’t eligible to win this giveaway
GIVEAWAY DATES
The giveaway begins on June 12th, 2023 and ends on June 22nd, 2023. Entries must be received during this time period to be eligible, and any early or late entries will be disqualified.
SELECTION OF WINNER “WINNERS” AND “PRIZES”
At the end of the giveaway, CARFAX will randomly select twenty five (25) winning entries from all eligible entries submitted. FIVE winners will be from online entries generated from email campaign and 20 will be from in person entries made in the CARFAX booth 123 during the NIADA Show Expo hall hours. Each winning entry will be selected in the sole discretion of CARFAX and its agents, whose decisions will be final, subject to verifying the eligibility of each selected entry, the entrant that submitted it, and the vehicle dealer on whose behalf it was submitted. The odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received.
Each vehicle dealer on whose behalf a winning entry was submitted will receive an autographed CARFAX Championship Belt. The approximate retail value of this prize is $250. All federal, state, and local taxes and any other costs or expenses associated with the prize are the sole responsibility of the winning dealer. The prize is not redeemable for cash.
The person who submitted each winning entry will be notified by e-mail and/or phone. If CARFAX is unable to contact an entrant, for any reason beyond CARFAX’s control, or if an entrant doesn’t respond within the specified time period, the prize will be forfeited, and another entry may be selected as a winning entry.
Before a vehicle dealer may receive a prize, a Statement of Eligibility and Release must be signed by the person who submitted the winning entry and an owner or manager of the dealer on whose behalf the winning entry was submitted, if the entry wasn’t submitted by an owner or manager. If this document isn’t signed within the specified time period by each of the people who need to sign it, then the prize will be forfeited, and another entry may be selected as the winning entry. The prize will be sent to the winning vehicle dealer within sixty (60) days after the Statement of Eligibility and Release is signed by each of the necessary people.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
The giveaway will be governed by these rules. By entering the giveaway, all entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of CARFAX and its agents. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification.
CARFAX, its affiliates, and the officers, directors, agents, employees, and contractors of such companies aren’t responsible for, and won’t be liable for: (a) misdirected, inaccurate, incomprehensible, incomplete, or late entries; (b) any act, failure to act, delay, or error relating to the receipt or processing of entries or communications with entrants; (c) any device, computer system, hardware, or software malfunction, defect, failure, disconnection, interruption, or other technical difficulties of any kind; (d) loss, alteration, or corruption of entries or data relating to entries or entrants; (e) late, lost, or undeliverable mail; (f) any conditions caused by actions or events beyond CARFAX’s control that may cause the giveaway to be disrupted or corrupted; (g) any losses or damages of any kind resulting directly or indirectly from participation in the giveaway or from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize; or (h) any errors in any materials relating to the giveaway. CARFAX reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the giveaway without notice if actions or events beyond CARFAX’s control corrupt the administration, security, or operation of the giveaway.
By entering the giveaway, you release and hold harmless CARFAX, its affiliates, and the officers, directors, agents, employees, and contractors of such companies from any and all liability, damages, injuries, claims, causes of action, or losses of any kind resulting from your participation in the giveaway, or your acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize. CARFAX accepts no responsibility if any prize is lost, damaged, or stolen, and each winning dealer is responsible for compliance with all terms and conditions associated with the prize.
By entering the giveaway, you agree to have your name, likeness, biographical information, and the name of the vehicle dealer where you work used in any and all media, formats, and channels, for commercial and promotional purposes, without any notice or payment.
The giveaway is void where prohibited by law; it’s subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations; and it’s governed by the laws of Virginia. Any claims or disputes relating to the giveaway will be resolved solely in courts located in Virginia, and solely through an individual action, without allowing any form of class action.
