Be Part of Indio’s Legacy – Time Capsule Submissions:

The City of Indio is preparing a time capsule to preserve the memories, culture, and spirit of our community as it exists today. This capsule will be sealed and safely stored, only to be opened 50 years from now.

We invite our residents to be a part of this historic moment by submitting meaningful photos that capture Indio’s essence—whether it’s a glimpse of our city’s rich history, a cherished community event, a favorite local spot, or a personal moment that reflects life in Indio.

All submitted images will be saved to a USB drive and placed inside the time capsule, creating a snapshot of our time for future generations to discover.

Help us tell the story of Indio—your story—for those who will stand where we are now, half a century from today.

Requirements

• Must Be a Resident of Indio

Photo Content

• Submit photos that represent Indio’s history, culture, people, events, landmarks, or daily life.
• Both historical and current images are welcome.
• Please avoid stock photos and only submit images you have taken or have permission to share. No copyrighted content.
• Avoid submitting any photos that contain copyright labels, watermarks, or branded text/logos.

Content Standards

• Submissions must be respectful and suitable for all audiences.
• No offensive, violent, or explicit content will be accepted.

Submission Agreement

• By submitting, you agree that your content may be publicly displayed or used in future city materials.

Deadline

• All submissions must be received by July 25, 2025.
