E Tū Whānau Poster Competition 2019 - Info & Rules
No matter how big or small, we can all make a difference and be responsible for creating positive change within our whānau, hapū, iwi and community.
E Tū Whānau is a movement for positive change in response to unacceptable levels of violence in NZ. It's about us taking responsibility to create the change we want, including changing bad attitudes and behaviour, and nurturing and celebrating the things that make whānau strong.
Art and design are powerful tools to communicate ideas, convey emotion, and inspire action. The values which underpin E Tū Whānau also provide endless possibilities for innovative design. The E Tū Whānau Poster Competition began in 2018 and this is the second time the competition has been held.
Entry opens on 15/4/2019 and closes on 19/5/2019. Each poster entered must incorporate ONE of the following E Tū Whānau values as the theme, as well as the value WORD and associated value COLOUR in the poster design:
- Whanaungatanga (It’s about being connected) [Turquoise/Blue]
- Tikanga (Doing things the right way, according to our values) [Violet]
- Kōrero Awhi (Positive communication and actions) [Magenta]
Judges will determine the winning entries for each category, and there are great cash prizes and gift vouchers to be won from a total prize pool of $10,000.
Voting will be open from 20/5/2019 to 29/5/2019 and a cash prize will be awarded for the entry that receives the most public votes. Every vote will go in the draw to win a $200 gift voucher.
