• Nominations are open for the WIC Male Champion of Change Award 2023


     The WIC Male Champion of Change Award recognises a male leader in the ACT region who through their actions and influence have advanced gender equity within the sector.


    This award recognise the need for male leaders to stand with women to promote gender equity in an industry that continues to have a significant female under-representation. It raises the profile of great male leaders and provides a reminder for other men that they too can be a voice for change.


    This award is open to male ICT leaders in the ACT region who are committed to improving gender equity.


    Nominations close on 20 October 2022.

  • WIC recognises that women and men must work together to further gender equity, and that while women have long been advocating for change, it is often men who hold the power to implement the change that is needed. WIC encourages men to use their influence to speak with other men, recognise bias, call out unacceptable behaviours and address the systemic imbalances which impede the advancement of women.


    The WIC Male Champion of Change award is granted to a man who has made a significant contribution to championing women within the ICT industry, empowering both women and men to achieve inclusion and diversity outcomes.


    The winner of this award is granted an honorary position on the WIC Committee.


    The WIC Male Champion of Change 2023 shortlist and award winner will be selected by WIC committee members.


    The award will be presented at the WIC Dinner Debate on 17 November 2023
