NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN A PRIZE.

OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF HAWAII WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY. CONTEST IS SUBJECT TO ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS AND VOID OUTSIDE THE STATE OF HAWAII AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

COMMON TERMS USED IN THESE RULES: These are the Official Rules that govern "Times Supermarket Culinary Cook-off" (the “cook-off”).  Times Supermarkets, and Big Save Markets are the “Sponsor” and Times Supermarket is the “Administrator” of the Cook-Off. Potential entrants are referred to as “You,” and eligible participants are also referred to as “You,” as well as “Participant” or “Entrant.”

ENTRY PERIOD: The Entry submission period starts at 12:00 a.m. Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time (“HST”) on March 6, 2019 and ends at 11:59pm on April 9, 2019, (the "Entry Period"). The Administrator’s computer, or that of its designee, serves as the official clock for the entry submission period and will solely determine the time by which an entry is deemed to be received.

VOTING PERIOD: The Video Voting period starts at 12:00 a.m. Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time (“HST”) on April 10, 2019 and ends at 11:59pm on April 16, 2019, (the "Voting Period"). The Administrator’s computer, or that of its designee, serves as the official clock for the Voting period and will solely determine the time by which votes are deemed to be received.

ELIGIBILITY: The Cook-Off is open only to legal residents of Hawaii who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.  Employees, contractors, directors and officers of Sponsors, Times Supermarkets, Big Save Markets and Administrators or any of their subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, parent companies, retail locations, suppliers, distributors, sweepstakes material suppliers, promotion or media partners, printers of sweepstakes materials, advertising, promotion or any other agencies or entities involved with this promotion (collectively, the “Cook-off Entities”) and members of their immediate families (including spouses, parents, grandparents, children, siblings or spouse of any of the foregoing; biological, step or in-law) or households of any of the above, whether related or not, or those acting on behalf of a government entity are NOT eligible to participate in this Cook-Off. The Cook-Off is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and to all decisions of the Sponsor/Administrator which are final and binding in all respects.

HOW TO ENTER: Visit a Times Supermarkets social media feed or website, look for the “Times Culinary Cook-off” image, click on it, submit your 1 MINUTE original creative video telling us why you should be a contestant in the Times Culinary Cook-Off.  Any additionally requested information should also be provided at the time of video entry submission.  Video entry may also be submitted directly at www.Timessupermarket.com/Times-Culinary-Cookoff.  Videos that are longer than 1 minute may be subject to disqualification and will not be accepted for entry.

Sponsor/Administrator is not responsible for video entries that are lost, late, delayed, damaged, incomplete, misdirected or not received for any reason, or for entries that are received but are not decipherable for any reason.

FINALIST SELECTION: Three (3) finalist selections will be chosen at the end of the entry period.  The finalist selection will be conducted on or about April 17, 2019.  One (1) finalist selection will be determined by the video entry receiving the most votes during the Voting period.   Two (2) finalists will be selected by the Administrator whose decisions are final, binding and conclusive in all matters relating to the Cook-Off. The Selection will be conducted in a manner to be determined by the Administrator.  Each finalist will have the opportunity to compete in the Cook-Off against the other two selected finalist on a date and time to be determined.  The finalist must be available to participate in the Cook-Off to be eligible to receive any prizes.  Finalists are solely responsible for all expenses associated with transportation costs for arriving at Cook-off Challenge location at Times Supermarket Royal Kunia, 94-615 Kupuohi St., Waipahu, HI  96797.  The finalist will be issued a 1099 federal tax form in the amount of the approximate retail value of the prize awarded as stated in these Official Rules.  Taxes (if any) are the responsibility of the prize Finalist/Winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

FINALIST NOTIFICATION: The Administrator will contact the potential Finalists via their social media account or via the information provided on the entry form, within two (2) days from when the selection was conducted.  The Finalist will be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (except where prohibited) which must be returned to the Administrator within ten (10) days of the finalist notification date in order to eligible for the Cook-Off competition or the spot in the Cook-Off will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate potential Finalist. All Entrants must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules and participating in the Cook-Off competition is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements of these Official Rules. If any finalist cannot be contacted or fails to sign and return the Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within the required time period, or is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor/Administrator may, in its sole discretion, award the finalist opportunity in the Cook-Off competition to another entrant and the same verification procedure described herein will apply to the subsequent potential Finalist.

COOK-OFF COMPETITION:  The three selected finalist will compete against each other in a cook-off competition to be held at Times Supermarket Royal Kunia on a date and time to be determined.  On the day of the competition the finalists will be given the same specific criteria to complete the cooking challenge.  There will be two rounds.  One finalist will be eliminated after the first round and they will be the 3rd place winner.  The two remaining finalists will compete against each other in the final round to determine the grand prize winner.  The loser of the final round will be the 2nd place winner. 

The finalist will have a predetermined time limit to complete their dish.  Each round will consist of shopping for ingredients, food prep, cooking, and plating.  Each round will be judged by a panel of 3 judges selected by Cook-off Entities.  Judging will be based on creativity, taste and presentation.  Judges decisions are final. 

PRIZES: There will be one grand prize winner that will win $5,000 cash.  2nd place finalist will win $300 Times/Big Save gift card plus a kitchen appliance prize pack.   3rd place finalist will win $200 Times/Big Save gift card plus a kitchen appliance prize pack.  Each Kitchen appliance prize pack valued at approximately $300.

PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited, participation in this Cook-Off constitutes finalist consent to the Cook-Off Entities’ unqualified and unconditional use of any winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, entry video and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.   By submitting a video for entry condiseration, entrant grants full use of the video by Cook-Off Entities for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide without payment or compensation.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Participants and winners agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Administrator,  Times Supermarkets, Big Save Markets and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies and each of their respective parent companies and each such company's officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any liability, loss, cost, expense (including attorneys’ fees), or damages arising out of or resulting from any claim, demand, action, cause of action, suit or proceeding, including, but not limited to, related to or resulting from any use of any Winners’ name, likeness, photograph, voice or opinions, entry photograph, any tax claim, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Cook-Off or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

Sponsor/Administrator reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify these Official Rules, the Cook-Off, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor/Administrator’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Cook-Off, as determined by Sponsor/Administrator in its sole discretion. Sponsor/Administrator reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual for any reason, including but not limited to those it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Finalist selection or Cook-Off competition or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the finalist selection process and Cook-Off competition may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor/Administrator reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor/Administrator’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. In the event that the Cook-Off competition is canceled or discontinued for any reason, Sponsor/Administrator reserves the right to not award any of the Cook-Off prizes mentioned above.

SWEEPSTAKES RESULTS: For Cook-Off results and/or a copy of these Official Rules, send a hand-printed, self-addressed, stamped envelope to “Times Supermarket Culinary Cook-Off” 3375 Koapaka Street, D-108 Honolulu Hi 96819.  Requests for a winners list must be received by May 31, 2019.
