Debris Sweepstakes

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

Eligibility: The Debris Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their state of residence, whichever is older. Employees of TV Guide Magazine (“Sponsor”), NBCUniversal Media, LLC and of their parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates and of any third parties involved in the development or administration of this Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”), as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Void where prohibited.

Sweepstakes Period: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 am Eastern Time (“ET”), February 22, 2021, ends at 11:59 pm ET, March 31, 2021 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).

Entry: The March 1, 2021 issue of TV Guide Magazine will include four ads for NBC’s new series Debris that will each be a fragment of debris. The ads will be scattered throughout the Magazine, and each will include a portion of the secret phrase (“Secret Phrase”). Assemble the four pieces to see the Secret Phrase. Once you have the Secret Phrase, visit the Sweepstakes page at www.NBCdebris2021.com (the “Sweepstakes Page”), accurately complete the online entry form, including the Secret Phrase, and submit the entry form during the Sweepstakes Period. A copy of the magazine is not required to enter—the Secret Phrase is also available on the Sweepstakes Page. Regardless, the Secret Phrase does not need to be correct for your entry to be eligible. When you enter, you will be given the option to receive emails from NBCUniversal Media, LLC and its affiliates. Acceptance is not a pre-requisite for entry. If there is a dispute as to who submitted any entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

Conditions Applicable to All Entries: Limit one direct entry per person (not including additional entries received via referrals). Entries in excess of this limit will be disqualified if discovered by Sponsor. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries if discovered by Sponsor, and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to submit entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification if discovered by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entry at any time that in Sponsor’s opinion does not comply with these Official Rules. All entries must be received by the deadlines set forth above. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. All received entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor, and none will be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or stolen entries, which will be disqualified. Please note that Sponsor may be running similar sweepstakes at the same time as this Sweepstakes. By entering this Sweepstakes, you will not be eligible to receive any prize awarded in any other sweepstakes unless you enter each sweepstakes separately.

Winner Selection, Notification, and Verification: After the close of the Sweepstakes Period, Sponsor will select one winner by random drawing from among all eligible entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. Entrant selected must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. Sponsor will attempt to contact potential winner by email. Potential winner may be required to sign and return to Sponsor, within five business days of being notified, an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity (except where prohibited) release and provide requested identification in order to claim his/her prize. Winner may also be required to complete and return an IRS Form W-9. If potential winner does not respond within 72 hours after the first attempt to contact potential winner, if potential winner fails to sign and return required documents and provide required identification by the deadlines set by Sponsor, if potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules (including eligibility requirements), or if potential winner declines the prize, Sponsor may select an alternate winner by random drawing from remaining eligible, non-winning entries, time permitting.

Prize: There is one grand prize. The grand prize is $2,021, which will be awarded in the form of a check. Prize is nontransferable, and there are no substitutions except at the discretion of Sponsor. Prize will be sent to verified winner by mail. Sponsor not responsible for loss, delay, or damage in delivery. All expenses not expressly stated herein will be the sole responsibility of winner, including but not limited to any government taxes. Properly claimed prize will be awarded, but in no event will Sponsor award more prizes than are provided for in these Official Rules.

Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes winner’s consent to allow each of the Sweepstakes Entities to use winner’s name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, hometown, and state for promotional purposes in connection with the Sweepstakes only, in any media worldwide without further payment or consideration. Tennessee residents need not so consent.

General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor will award the prize by random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment, provided Sponsor is able to do so. If Sponsor terminates the Sweepstakes, Sponsor will post notice of its action on the Sweepstakes website. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. If a dispute arises regarding compliance with these Official Rules, Sponsor may consider, in its sole discretion, data reasonably available to Sponsor through information technology systems in Sponsor’s control, but Sponsor will not be obligated to consider any data or other information collected from any other source. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision. If there is any conflict between any term of these Official Rules and any of the entry or marketing materials used in connection with the Sweepstakes, the terms of these Official Rules will govern.

Release: By entering this Sweepstakes, entrant agrees to release and hold harmless each of the Sweepstakes Entities, Twitter, Facebook, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action including, without limitation, personal injury, death or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of the prize.

Limitations of Liability: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (i) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors, or by any of the equipment of programming associated with or used in the Sweepstakes; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or in the Sweepstakes; (iv) technical or human error that may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (v) lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries; or (vi) any injury or damage to persons or property, including but not limited to entrant’s computer, hardware or software, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse or inability to use the prize. If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Sweepstakes, unless it is not possible to award another entry because of discontinuance of the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, for any reason.

Disputes: Entrant agrees that: (i) all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or the prize awarded must be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate federal or state court located in the County of New York, New York; (ii) all claims, judgments and awards will be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, will be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of New York or any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of New York.
