Official Parade Rules
- Lighting Requirement: All entries must be fully illuminated. Ensure floats are well-lit for visibility.
- Signage: Floats should include clear signage. Key lettering on floats and banners should be at least 12 inches high for visibility, especially for the judges.
- Driver Safety: Drivers must remain with their vehicles at all times.
- Participant Visibility: If you are walking, please wear reflective gear and carry flashlights for safety.
- Candy Distribution: For safety reasons, please do not throw candy or items into the crowd. You may hand out candy or other items directly to spectators along the parade route.
- Winners Announcement: Parade winners will be contacted the week following the event and announced on-air.
- Santa Clause: No live Santa are allowed in the parade.
Insurance Waiver
By participating in the Lighted Christmas Parade, I (we) voluntarily assume all risks of bodily injury or property damage that may arise from my (our) participation. I (we), on behalf of my organization, myself, my family, heirs, executors, and administrators, hereby expressly and forever waive and release any claims against and agree to hold harmless the Lighted Christmas Parade, River Radio of Poplar Bluff (Clear 94 KKLR, Z95 The Bone KJEZ, Shuffle 92.9 KLSC, and Today’s Talk 930 KWOC), and its staff, the City of Poplar Bluff, and any agents, representatives, successors, or assigns from any and all claims arising from participation in this event.
I (we) agree to abide by all rules and follow any instructions given by Lighted Christmas Parade volunteers and staff.
