Terms & Conditions for the Great Birmingham Bark Off Competition

1. Entry Eligibility

o The competition is open to Corporate Groups, Community Groups, and Individuals.

o Each Corporate and Community Group is allowed to nominate one individual, referred to as the "Bark Off Champion," to represent their organisation in the Grand Final.

o All Bark Off Champions must be registered with Birmingham Dogs Home by Monday, 14th October. Failure to notify Birmingham Dogs Home by this date may result in disqualification.

o Individual entries are also welcome and must be submitted via the official entry process.

 

2. Entry Categories

o There are three ways to enter the competition:

§ Corporate Category: For businesses and corporate entities entering as a team or organisation.

§ Community Category: For community groups, non-profits, and other similar groups.

§ Individual Category: For individuals entering independently (Subcategories: children 3-8, children 9-16, Adult Individual)

 

3. Entry Process

o Entries for Corporate and Community Group categories must be submitted by the respective organisation’s representative or group leader.

o Individuals may enter through the designated online form or other methods as specified by Birmingham Dogs Home.

o Each Corporate or Community Group can only submit one entry for the Grand Final. Multiple entries from the same group will not be accepted.

o All entries must be submitted by the specified deadlines. Late entries will not be accepted unless explicitly approved by Birmingham Dogs Home.

 

4. Grand Final Qualification

o Only one Bark Off Champion from each Corporate or Community Group can proceed to the Grand Final.

o Details of the Grand Final will be provided to qualifying Bark Off Champions by Birmingham Dogs Home.

o Finalists will be judged by a panel selected by Birmingham Dogs Home, and their decision is final.

 

5. Entry Fees

o Birmingham Dogs Home ask Individual and Community competitors to aim to raise £50 from their Bark Off.

o Birmingham Dogs Home ask Corporate competitors to aim to raise £100 from their Bark Off.

 

6. Judging Criteria

o The competition will be judged based on creativity, presentation, taster and theme adherence.

o Specific judging criteria for each category will be shared in advance of the competition.

 

7. Prizes

o Prizes will be awarded to winners in each category (Corporate, Community, and Individual).

o Birmingham Dogs Home reserves the right to adjust or substitute prizes as necessary.

 

8. Use of Participant Information

o By entering the competition, participants consent to Birmingham Dogs Home using their name, likeness, and competition entry for marketing and promotional purposes.

o Participants may be contacted by Birmingham Dogs Home for future fundraising and event opportunities.

 

9. Disqualification

o Birmingham Dogs Home reserves the right to disqualify any participant or entry that does not comply with the competition rules, including but not limited to inappropriate behaviour, offensive content, or failure to meet submission deadlines.

 

10. Liability

o Birmingham Dogs Home will not be responsible for any technical issues, incomplete entries, or any issues that arise from third-party services or systems used to enter the competition.

o By entering, participants release Birmingham Dogs Home from any liability associated with participation in the competition or acceptance of any prize.

 

11. Amendments

o Birmingham Dogs Home reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time, without prior notice.
