The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (“CLC” or “CT Lottery”) will run one (1) giveaway on Facebook, titled ‘UConn Basketball Tickets Giveaway’ (“Giveaway”), in which the CT Lottery will conduct six (6) drawings and award a total of thirteen (13) prize packages as specified below:

Entries will be accepted for each drawing, from 10:00 am ET through 4:00 pm ET on the given Giveaway date. Entries must be received by 4:00 pm ET on the date of the giveaway to be eligible for that drawing. Entries will not be returned.

ENTRY: Go to www.facebook/CTLottery and click ‘follow’. Locate the post(s) titled ‘UConn Basketball Tickets Giveaway,’ on the main feed homepage. Click on the post and follow the instructions provided in the caption to enter the Giveaway. Instructions will state:
To enter for your chance to win a pair of tickets to a UConn basketball game and a $10 Lottery coupon, answer the question of the day in the comments by 4 pm today (no right answer required to win), INSERT DATE.
Sponsor reserves the right to remove any comments that contain profanity, are offensive in nature or do not adhere to the Giveaway guidelines and/or these Official Rules in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
LIMIT: One (1) entry per person, per valid Facebook account, per entry period. No group entries. Non-winning entries do not roll over for subsequent Giveaway dates. Winning a prize in one Giveaway drawing does not preclude a participant from winning a prize in subsequent Giveaway drawing.
This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc. (formerly known as Facebook, Inc.) (“Meta”), X Corp. (“X”), or the University of Connecticut (“UConn”).
ELIGIBILITY: Legal residents of CT who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry, are eligible to enter, except employees of Sponsor, and any other organizations affiliated with the sponsorship, fulfillment, administration, prize support, advertisement of the Giveaway and/or their respective agents, affiliates, subsidiaries and members of their immediate families or household members. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.
WINNER SELECTION AND PRIZING: At 4:05 pm ET on each of the six (6) Giveaway dates, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the applicable entry period for that Giveaway date, utilizing Woobox, an online third-party platform. During the drawing for the December 11, 2023 Giveaway, three (3) entries will be randomly chosen as the winning entries, and during each of the subsequent Giveaway dates, two (2) entries will be randomly chosen as the winning entries. Each winning entry will receive one (1) prize package consisting of: two (2) tickets to the UConn basketball game specified for the applicable Giveaway date, and one (1) $10 Lottery coupon. NOTE: Winner must be able to attend the UConn basketball game specified for the applicable Giveaway date to accept the prize; if the winner is unable to attend the game, that entrant forfeits their right to the prize and another winner will be randomly selected from among all eligible entries for that Giveaway date.
Winners will be notified in writing by the Sponsor. The Sponsor will send each winner instructions for claiming their prize through Facebook direct message to the Facebook account used to enter. In order to claim their prize, winners must submit to the CLC via Facebook direct message or email, no later than three (3) calendar days after receipt of the notification message, (i) a copy of their photo ID for proof of age, (ii) a home address or PO Box for shipment of the Lottery coupon, and (iii) an email address for delivery of the game tickets. Failure to claim prize before deadline will result in forfeiture of prize. In such case, Sponsor reserves the right to randomly select alternate winner(s), as necessary, from remaining eligible entries.
Winner and/or winner’s guest(s) is/are solely responsible for any and all costs, fees, taxes and expenses associated with prize award, receipt and use, including, without limitation, all federal, state and local taxes on the prize and any travel and/or parking costs that may be incurred. By accepting any ticketed portion of the prize, winner and their guest agree to abide by any terms, conditions, and restrictions provided by the ticket. Lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, vouchers, certificates, or coupons will not be replaced. In the event that the basketball game for which the winner is awarded tickets is cancelled by UConn, in UConn’s sole discretion, Sponsor will award winner a substitute prize of equal or greater value. In all circumstances, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portions thereof) of equal or greater value if prize (or portions thereof) cannot be awarded as described. Sponsor will determine all elements of prizing in its sole discretion. Prizes are non-transferrable and may not be changed or redeemed for cash, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Prizes are not eligible to be substituted for Lottery tickets (with the exception of Lottery coupons). Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee express or implied by Sponsor. Sponsor disclaims all and any liability for the actual provision, quality or nature of any third-party product or service accepted by the winners. The awarding of any prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules. Entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules and agree that if any winner fails to provide proof of identity, refuses to provide required information and/or documentation, is found to have violated Official Rules, or otherwise does not meet eligibility criteria, then the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing. Entrants understand that Sponsor is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from participation in this Giveaway and acceptance, possession, and use of prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Giveaway, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Giveaway, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prize or in any promotion-related materials. Decisions of Sponsor are final and binding in all respects.
Odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incorrect or incomplete entries, data transmissions to or from Sponsor, typographical errors in the offer or administration of the Giveaway, including errors in its advertising, these Official Rules and the distribution of the prizes. Prizes are awarded “AS IS”. Sponsor has not made and/or is not responsible for any misrepresentation or guaranty, express or implied, in fact or in law, concerning the Prizes.
GOVERNING LAW/JURISDICTION: The Giveaway is governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Entrants irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the state courts located in Connecticut for the resolution of any claims.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Participation in the Giveaway constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Giveaway. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Giveaway at any time, without notice, for any reason, including, without limitation, due to regularly-scheduled maintenance, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Giveaway and, in such situation, to select the winner(s) using all known eligible entries received as of the date of termination in a manner deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for entries it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures; or any other reason, or incomplete, damaged, misdirected, or lost entries. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is responsible for, tampers with, cheats, deceives, or otherwise engages in unfair practices concerning the administration, operation or security of the Giveaway or intends to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GIVEAWAY MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision. The use of automated entry systems or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the Giveaway is prohibited.
Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ entry, name, hometown, voice, likeness, photograph and any statements regarding this Giveaway in all media now known or hereafter discovered, for any purpose, including without limitation, in connection with, and to promote, market or advertise, the Giveaway, in whole or in part, without review, approval, credit or attribution, notification or payment from or to entrant or any person or entity, worldwide, in perpetuity, or on a winner’s list.
By entering, each entrant forever and irrevocably releases and holds harmless Sponsor, Meta, X, UConn, their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from and against all claims, damages or liabilities arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from entrant’s participation and/or entry in the Giveaway and/or entrant’s award, receipt or use of any prize awarded in the Giveaway. Subject to all federal, CT state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
