Whistles 50 Year Campaign – Casting Call Terms and Conditions

1. GENERAL
   1.1. By submitting your application, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
   1.2. By submitting your photos and personal details, you are giving Whistles Limited (Whistles) and our agency partner Weirdo Limited (Weirdo) permission to (1) review your application; and (2) contact you on behalf of Whistles for further information about the Whistles 50 Year Campaign.
   1.3. To apply, complete our online application form, which is hosted on Woobox LLC (Woobox). All applications must be submitted via the Woobox form.
   1.4. Entries must be submitted by 5pm, Monday 22nd June to be considered.
   1.5. The Casting Call is in no way sponsored, endorsed, affiliated with, or administered by any third party, including social media platforms or Woobox.
   1.6. If you change your mind and wish to withdraw your application, please contact our customer care team here: Contact Us |. 
   1.7. Up to 50 applicants will be selected to take part in the shoot. Selection is at Whistles’ sole discretion and submitting an application does not guarantee selection.
   1.8. Selected applicants will be required to attend a shoot Sunday 28th June in London. Applicants must be available on the shoot date and be able to travel to the shoot location at their own cost, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Whistles.
   1.9. Selected applicants will be required to sign a model release/ waiver on the day of the shoot before participating. Participation in the shoot is conditional on signing the waiver. The waiver will grant Whistles a full buy-out of all rights in the images and other assets created on the shoot day, for use in any media and for any purpose.
   1.10. Selected applicants who attend the shoot and sign the waiver will receive a £150 Whistles gift card. No other fees, travel costs, or expenses are payable unless separately agreed in writing with Whistles.
   1.11. Following the test shoot, Whistles may invite a small number of selected applicants to participate in a further campaign shoot on separate terms to be agreed at that time.
2. PERSONAL DATA
   2.1. By submitting an application, you understand that your personal data (including your name, phone number, email address, social handle, photographs and personal statements) will be collected and stored via the Woobox form and used to administer the Casting Call, including sharing your details with our agency partner Weirdo Limited (Weirdo) to review your application. Your personal data will be processed as set out in Whistles' privacy policy, found here: Privacy Policy.  
   2.2. Your photo and personal statement may reveal special category data (such as racial or ethnic origin, religion or health information) under the UK GDPR. Whistles, and our agency partner Weirdo, will process such data only for the purposes of operating the Casting Call application process. Our legal basis is your explicit consent, given via the separate consent checkbox at entry. Consent is voluntary, but without it we cannot accept your entry.
   2.3. When you complete the Woobox form you will be asked whether you consent to receiving marketing communications from Whistles by email and/or SMS. Marketing consent is entirely optional, is not a condition of applying, and you may choose any combination of channels or none. Any marketing consent you provide will be recorded in Bloomreach, our customer engagement platform. Your personal data will not be used for direct marketing unless you have consented, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any marketing communication or by contacting our customer care team here Contact Us |.
   2.4. As Whistles operates internationally, and because we use Woobox LLC (Woobox), a US-based competition platform, to run the Casting Call, your personal data (including any special category data) may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where Woobox or its sub-processors operate. Where such transfers occur, appropriate safeguards (such as the ICO’s standard data protection clauses) are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law. In particular, we have put in place the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as amended by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum issued by the Information Commissioner's Office, which require Woobox to protect your data to UK standards. Woobox processes your data only on our instructions and for Casting Call purposes.
   2.5. We will retain your photo and statement for six months from the close of the Casting Call, after which they will be securely deleted unless law requires otherwise.
   2.6. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us here: Contact Us . Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. If campaign content featuring you has already been published before you withdraw consent, we cannot recall copies that are already in circulation or held by third parties. However, from the date of your withdrawal we will use reasonable endeavours to limit further use of that content.
