SPAR Australia Solo Energy Hashtag Competition – Terms & Conditions

Competition Organiser
The promoter is SPAR Australia Limited (ABN: 69 102 281 167), located at 30 Fox Road, Acacia Ridge, QLD 4110 (“the Promoter”).

Eligibility
(a) Entry is open to residents of Queensland (QLD), New South Wales (NSW), and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) aged 18 years or older.
(b) Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, SPAR stores, and agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter.
(c) “Immediate family” includes a spouse, ex-spouse, de facto partner, child (natural or adopted), stepchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, sibling, or stepsibling.
(d) By entering, entrants agree to these Terms & Conditions.
(e) Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or non-public will be deemed invalid.
(f) The Promoter may verify the identity and eligibility of entrants and may request proof of identification and residential address.

Competition Period
The competition commences at 12:00am AEST on 16 July 2025 and concludes at 11:59pm AEST on 5 August 2025 (“Competition Period”). Entries received outside this period will not be considered.

How to Enter
To enter, during the Competition Period, participants must:

• Visit their local SPAR store.
• Take a photo of themselves holding a can of Solo Energy inside the store.
• Follow @sparaustralia on Instagram; and
• Post the photo publicly on Instagram, tagging the hashtag #SoloInSPAR.

Participants may enter as many times as they like during the Competition Period, provided each entry meets the above requirements.

Prizes
There are three (3) prizes to be won, each consisting of one (1) PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition console (RRP $749.95 each).
Total prize pool value: $2,249.85.
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value if required.

Winner Selection & Announcement

• Winners will be drawn randomly from all valid entries at 9:00am AEST on 7 August 2025 at the Promoter’s office (30 Fox Road, Acacia Ridge, QLD 4110).
• Winners will be notified via direct message on the platform used for entry within two (2) business days of the draw.
• Winners will also be announced publicly on the SPAR Australia Facebook and Instagram pages on 8th of August 2025.
• Prizes will be distributed via the winner’s local SPAR store.
• Winners must collect their prize from the SPAR store where their entry photo was taken within twenty-one (21) days of notification, unless otherwise arranged with the store.
• Photo identification matching the entrant’s name on the entry post is required upon collection.
• If any prize remains unclaimed within twenty-one (21) days of the winner being notified, a redraw will be conducted at 9:00am AEST on the next business day after the 21-day period has expired at the Promoter’s office.
• Redrawn winners will be notified via direct message on the social media platform used for entry and announced on SPAR Australia’s Facebook and Instagram pages within three (3) business days of the redraw.
• If a prize remains unclaimed after a redraw, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct further redraws until all prizes are claimed.

Prize Collection

• Prizes will be distributed via the winner’s local SPAR store.
• Winners must collect their prize from the SPAR store where their entry photo was taken within twenty-one (21) days of notification, unless otherwise arranged with the store.
• Photo identification matching the entrant’s name on the entry post is required upon collection.

Unclaimed Prizes

• If any prize remains unclaimed within twenty-one (21) days of the winner being notified, a redraw will be conducted at 9:00am AEST on the next business day after the 21-day period has expired at the Promoter’s office.
• Redrawn winners will be notified via direct message on the social media platform used for entry and announced on SPAR Australia’s Facebook and Instagram pages within three (3) business days of the redraw.
• If a prize remains unclaimed after a redraw, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct further redraws until all prizes are claimed.

Privacy
(a) The Promoter collects personal information to conduct the competition and may disclose it to third parties, including agents, contractors, and prize suppliers.
(b) By entering, participants consent to the use of their name, social media handle, and submitted photo in promotional materials related to this competition.
(c) Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the SPAR Australia Privacy Policy available at https://www.spar.com.au/term.

Liability
(a) The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the competition or use of the prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.
(b) The Promoter is not responsible for technical failures, social media platform issues, or third-party interference affecting entry or notification.
(c) The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond its control arise.

General
(a) The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
(b) The Promoter’s decisions are final; no correspondence will be entered into.
(c) These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
