The Garmin KC Air Show is looking to find the 2023 Blue Angels Key Influencer. This person should have regular interaction with youth within our community, which means the influence they provide in their lives will have a lasting and significant impact. Some examples of Key Influencers are a teacher who is recognized for going above and beyond, someone heavily involved in a youth organization such as the Boys and Girls club, Big Brother & Big Sister, or Police explorers, locally recognized and impactful youth sports coach or extracurricular activity leader. 

The Garmin KC Air Show, with help from the Navy Recruiting office, will nominate two individuals that fit the above criteria and the US Navy Blue Angels will choose one for a once-in-a-lifetime ride in an F-18 Super Hornet. The person not chosen will become the alternate and will still participate in all of the day's events. 

While making your nominations, please take into account the fact that these rides are physically and psychologically demanding. The ideal rider cannot exceed 6 feet 6 inches and must be between 125 and 235 pounds. All nominees will need to have a physical prior to being approved for the flight. Candidates who are pregnant, have heart trouble, thyroid disorders or any prior neck or back injury will not be approved for flight.

Entries must be in by April 30th at 11:59 p.m. to allow those selected enough time to complete the medical forms required by the US Navy Blue Angels.
