10 Most Endangered Historic Places in Mississippi Photo Contest

- Submit up to 3 original photographs
- Photographs must depict a site from any previous 10 Most Endangered Historic Places in Mississippi list

- Include a caption or brief reflection about why this place matters (max 100 words) with each photo
- Submissions open: August 11, 2025
- Submission deadline: September 1, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (CST)
- Voting will be held from September 8–22, 2025
- Images must be high-resolution JPEGs (minimum 300 dpi, 2400 pixels on longest side)
- No watermarks, borders, or signatures on images
- One Overall Winner will be selected by Mississippi photographer Maude Schuyler Clay. Prize includes $250, 2 tickets to the 10 Most Endangered announcement event, and publication in Elevation
- One People’s Choice Winner will be selected by public vote. Prize includes 2 tickets to the 10 Most Endangered announcement event and publication in Elevation
- Winners announced the first week of October 2025
- The Overall Winner’s photograph will be professionally printed, framed, and raffled at the announcement event on October 23, 2025
- Selected submissions will be shared across Mississippi Heritage Trust’s social media platforms to celebrate participants and promote public voting
- By submitting, photographers retain full copyright but grant Mississippi Heritage Trust permission to use images (with credit) for promotional, educational, and fundraising purposes related to the contest and the 10 Most program
